Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated , Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter was chartered on September 7, 2001 by eleven extraordinary women: Tanya Denny, Shemeka Durant, Patricia McGlashan, Tara Mock, Karen Gooden, Virna Springer, Ericka Tate-Souvenir, Camille Titus, Eudora Wallace, Norita Wiggins, and Tanya Wiggins. The chapter continues to build with exceptional women of Zeta.

Since its inception Sigma Kappa Zeta Chapter has been committed to strengthening families, children and communities through educational initiatives, peer mentoring, grass roots volunteerism, coalition building and economic empowerment, all in the support of girls and women.

Also in line with our mission Sigma Kappa Zeta chapter has endeavored to inform the community through seminars such as home-buying as well as foster care and adoption. We have also volunteered our efforts on citywide campaigns, such as March of Dimes Walk America, New York Cares and the American Diabetes Association Diabetes Expo.

The years since Sigma Kappa Zeta's existence have been busy and prosperous. We pledge to remain diligent in our efforts to carry out the work of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
